Terms of Use
Effective date: March 28, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DGCollect (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DGCollect is a disc golf collection and bag tracker that allows registered users to catalog their discs, track their collection, and share their bag with others. Access to certain features requires a free account.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of abuse or spam.
You may register or sign in using a supported third-party provider (currently Google). By doing so, you authorize DGCollect to receive your name and email address from that provider for account purposes. You remain responsible for your account regardless of which sign-in method you use.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google Sign-In. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. DGCollect is not responsible for the practices of any third-party service. Links to third-party policies are provided in our Privacy Policy.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as collection data and notes). By submitting content, you grant DGCollect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content as necessary to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without prior written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Submit false, misleading, or spam content.
7. Intellectual Property
All disc catalog data, design, logos, and software associated with DGCollect are the property of DGCollect or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use DGCollect’s trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials without prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. DGCollect does not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DGCollect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if DGCollect has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
DGCollect reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at its sole discretion. To request account deletion, contact us through the contact form.
11. Messaging
DGCollect provides a direct messaging feature to allow users to communicate with each other. By using messaging you agree not to send content that:
- Harasses, threatens, or abuses another user.
- Constitutes spam or unsolicited commercial solicitation.
- Is illegal or facilitates illegal activity.
- Shares another person's private information without their consent.
- Impersonates another user or DGCollect staff.
Violations may result in messaging being disabled for your account or termination of your account. Messages may be reviewed by administrators in response to reports or as part of routine moderation.
13. Changes to These Terms
DGCollect may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
